Schinckel celebrates 80th!

Georgine Schinckel will celebrate her 80th birthday party on March 26 from 1-4 p.m. at the Maysville Fire Station. Light lunch will be served. All friends and relatives are invited. Request was made for cards only, no gifts.

Georgine was born March 23, 1942, to Norwin and Roberta Fuller Petersen in Moline. She is the oldest of four siblings. She graduated in 1960 from Calamus High School and Professional Business Institute in Minneapolis. She worked as a medical assistant-receptionist in Walcott and Blue Grass, then at Alcoa. She married Jack Schinckel on Sept. 30, 1962. They have four daughters: Debra (William) Brinkley, Burlingon; Donna (Todd) Goodell, Marion; Denise (John) Vastine, Minneapolis; Dawn (Kenny) Stone, Blue Grass. They have eight grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. One grandchild, Kyle Goodell, is deceased.

Georgine is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Davenport, and is a 40-year member of the choir Over the years, she has been involved in many farm related and community organizations both locally and on the state level. For over 51 years, she has given piano lessons to more than 200 children and adults, and contiues to give lessons. Jack and Georgine farmed in Scott County for many years before retiring in Eldridge.
