Leo and Sandy Rathjen celebrated their 61st anniversary with an Iowa road trip, and are planning a family dinner later this year.
They also both celebrated their 80th birthdays this year.
They have farmed most of their married life.
Leo and Sandy have two children, Mark Rathjen and his finance Becky Schibillion, and Angie Snell of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
They have two grandchildren, Eve and Logan Sloan of Iowa City, and Wil and Haley Rathjen of Maryland. They have one great-grandchild, Jack James (J.J.) Rathjen, and one on the way.
