Wilton

The following information was received from the office of the Wilton Police Department:

May 3—Police responded to a report of an open door in the 300 block of S. Cherry Street.

May 4—Police were dispatched to a pursuit at Highway 6 and Isett Avenue. The pursuit went into the county and was turned over to the Muscatine County Sheriffs Office.

May 5—Police were called to the 300 block of Cedar Street in reference to a civil matter. Options were given.

May 5—Police responded to a juvenile runaway. The juvenile was found and brought back to parents.

May 7—Police spoke with a subject in reference to a civil matter from another county. Options were given.

May 8—Police responded to the 700 block of Oak Street for an animal call.

May 8—Police responded to a call of phone threats in the 100 block of E. Fourth Street. No answer on call back.

May 8—Police performed a traffic stop in the 400 block of Cypress Street. Issued a citation to Corey Byrd of Muscatine for driving while barred, no insurance, and fraudulent use of registration plates.

May 9—Police received a complaint about harassing phone calls. Options were given.

May 9—Police responded to a parking complaint in the 300 block of Chestnut Street. Vehicle tagged.

May 9—Police responded to a call for found property in the area of Cedar Street and W. Wate Street. Item was collected and taken to the Wilton Police Department.

May 9—Police responded to an animal call in the 400 block of W. Summit Street.

May 9—Police responded to an animal call in the area of Elm Street and Fourth Street. Unable to locate.

May 9—Police responded to an animal call at Elm and Fourth streets. Dog was collected and sent to the city pound.

May 9—Police released a dog from the city pound. The animal had been at large and captured earlier in the day by police.

May 9—Police responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 400 block of E. Jackson Street. Report taken.

May 9—Police responded to a trespass in the 100 block of S. Vine Street.

Durant

The following information was received from the office of the Durant Police Department:

May 3—Police responded to juvenile curfew violation at Fifth Street and Sixth Avenue. Parents were notified and warnings given.

May 3—Police spoke with an individual in the 500 block of 14th Avenue. A report was initiated.

May 3—Police provided extra patrol at Eighth Avenue.

May 4—Police performed a traffic stop on Highway 6. Warning for traffic violation was given.

May 4—Police performed a vehicle inspection at the Durant Police Department for IDOT licensing requirements.

May 4—Police responded to a 911 call in the 1200 block of Seventh Street. It was an accidental call by a young resident. Parent was notified.

May 4—Police performed a follow-up at the Durant Police Department.

May 4—Police performed a vehicle inspection at the Durant Police Department for IDOT licensing requirements.

May 4—Police performed a business check at Jeff’s Market.

May 4—Police provided extra patrol at Eighth Avenue.

May 4—Police performed a traffic stop at 14th Avenue and Fifth Street. Warning for traffic violation was given.

May 4—Police responded to a parking violation in the 700 block of Seventh Street. Parking citation was issued.

May 5—Police performed a traffic stop at 14th Avenue and Fifth Street. Elizabeth Wurzer of Durant was cited for speed.

May 5—Police performed a traffic stop at 14th Avenue and Fifth Street. Warning for traffic violation was given.

May 5—Police assisted a motorist at First Avenue and Fifth Street.

May 5—Police performed a business check at the community center.

May 5—Police performed a vehicle inspection at the Durant Police Department for IDOT licensing requirements.

May 5—Police provided extra patrol at Jeff’s Market.

May 5—Police provided extra patrol at Eighth Avenue.

May 5—Police provided extra patrol at the Durant school.

May 6—Police performed a traffic stop at Fourth Avenue and Fifth Street. April Ewoldt of Durant was cited for driving under suspension and arrested for violation of no contact order. Thaddeus Foster of Durant was arrested for violation of no contact order and was a passenger of a vehicle that Ewoldt was driving. Both were transported to the Scott County Jail.

May 6—Police performed a vehicle inspection at the Durant Police Department for IDOT requirements.

May 6—Police responded to a nuisance/abatement call in the 700 block of Fourth Street. Call was referred to another agency.

May 6—Police responded to a speak with officer call at the Durant Police Department.

May 6—Police performed a traffic stop at 14th Avenue and Eighth Street. Warning for traffic violation was given.

May 6—Police provided extra patrol at Eighth Avenue.

May 6—Police responded to a child custody call at Casey’s. Parties were referred to private attorneys.

May 7—Police responded to nuisance/abatement call in the 1100 block of Fifth Street for a junk vehicle.

May 7—Police responded to nuisance/abatement call in the 400 block of Fifth Street. Warning was given for sign in the right of way.

May 7—Police responded to nuisance/abatement call in the 900 block of Fifth Street. Warning was given for sign in the right of way.

May 7—Police responded to nuisance/abatement call in the 200 block of Fifth Street for sign in the right of way.

May 7—Police received a report of a phone scam in the 100 block of Fifth Avenue.

May 7—Police performed a vehicle unlock at Casey’s.

May 7—Police performed a traffic stop at Third Street and Fifth Avenue. Nickolas Gaskey of Durant was cited for no insurance and arrested on two Davenport warrants and turned over to the Scott County Sheriff.

May 8—Police responded to an alarm at the Durant School. It was a false alarm. A school official was notified.

May 8—Police performed a vehicle inspection at the Durant Police Department for IDOT licensing requirements.

May 8—Police performed a business check at Jeff’s Market.

May 8—Police provided extra patrol at Eighth Avenue.

May 8—Police performed a traffic stop at Third Street and Eighth Avenue. Triston Cain of Cedar Rapids was cited for possession of a controlled substance and no valid driver’s license.

May 9—Police performed a traffic stop at 11th Street and 14th Avenue. Warning for traffic violation was given.

May 9—Police performed a traffic stop in the 200 block of Fifth Street. Warning for traffic violation was given.

May 9—Police responded to motor vehicle collision hit-and-run at Jeff’s Market. Report initiated.
