The following information was received from the office of the Wilton Police Department:

May 24—Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 600 block of W. Fifth Street. It was found to be a newspaper delivery man.

May 24—Police responded to a vandalism report in the 700 block of Cypress Street. Subject was advised that it is a civil issue.

May 24—Police conducted a traffic stop in the area of W. Third Street and Maple Street. Stephanie Lerma of Muscatine was issued a citation for driving under suspension.

May 25—Police responded to a call of suicide threats in the 600 block of E. Sixth Street. Subject indicated they were not a threat to themselves or anyone else and was going to stay with a family member.

May 25—Police assisted the Wilton First Responders and the Durant Ambulance with a medical call in the 100 block of Vine Street. Subject was transported to an area hospital.

May 25—Police posted a city ordinance violation/nuisance notice for grass blown into the street in the 100 block of E. Jackson Street.

May 25—Police took a report of a possible sex offender registry violation taking place in another jurisdiction. The matter was turned over to the proper department.

May 25—Police responded to a gas drive-off in the 1300 block of Nicolaus Drive. Report was taken and is under investigation.

May 25—Police responded to a call in the 200 block of W. Rose Street for a juvenile runaway. The juvenile was located.

May 25—Police responded to a call in the 300 block of E. Sixth Street for a dog running at large. Officer spoke with the owner.

May 25—Police conducted a child custody follow-up in the 500 block of Maple Street.

May 26—Police provided extra patrol in the 1000 block of Cypress Street.

May 26—Police assisted the Muscatine County Sheriff's Office with a traffic stop at Third Street and Highway 38.

May 26—Police responded to a hit and run in the 100 block of Spruce Street. A report was taken and incident is under investigation.

May 26—Police conducted a follow-up on a hit-and-run in the 100 block of Spruce Street. The vehicle was located and an accident report was taken.

May 26—Police assisted Wilton first responders and Durant Ambulance with a medical call in the 1200 block of W. Wate Street.

May 26—Police returned a call on a civil dispute in the 500 block of S. Cherry Street. Options were given.

May 26—Police returned a call on a civil issue in the 500 block of Maple Street. Options were given.

May 27—Police took a report in reference to illegal activity occurring in the Wilton area. No specific information was given.

May 27—Police responded to a call in the 700 block of Cedar Street for a civil matter regarding a dog.

May 27—Police conducted a follow-up to a recent arrest in the 1300 block of Nicolaus Drive.

May 27—Police took a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle in the 600 block of E. Sixth Street. The matter is under investigation.

May 27—Police conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Walnut Street for a call of a reckless driver in the county.

May 28—Police responded to suspicious activity in City Park. Officer was unable to locate anyone. Area, pool doors, and outbuildings were checked.

May 28—Police responded to a medical call in the 1200 block of Oak Street. It was turned over to the Durant Ambulance.

May 28—Police responded to a report of a possible domestic situation in the 700 block of E. Second Street.

May 28—Police conducted a follow-up to an earlier reported domestic situation. Subjects were located and found to be OK.

May 28—Police responded to a property damage accident report at the intersection of W. Fifth Street and Highway 38. Wyatt VanDusen was cited for failure to yield upon entering the highway.

May 28—Police responded to a juvenile complaint in the 400 block of W. Sixth Street. Advised juveniles to keep noise down and to remove vehicles from blocking alleyway.

May 28—Police conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Highway 38. A verbal warning was given.

May 28—Police responded to suspicious activity in the 100 block of W. Sixth Street. Police conducted extra patrol throughout the night.

May 29—Police responded to the 300 block of Spruce Street for a reported structure fire. Found to be a small kitchen fire, which was put out prior to officer arrival.

May 29—Police responded to juvenile complaint in the 1100 block of Maurer Street.

May 29—Police responded to mile marker 271 Interstate 80 to assist the Iowa State Patrol on a call.

May 29—Police responded to a parking problem in the 400 block of W. Sixth Street.

May 29—Police conducted a follow-up in the 300 block of W. Summit Street.

May 29—Police assisted the Durant Police Department with an open door in the 1200 block of Fourth Street.

May 30—Police conducted traffic control in the area of Sixth and Cedar streets for tree removal.

May 30—Police conducted a sexual abuse follow-up in the 100 block of E. Fourth Street. Information was provided.

May 24—Police responded to suspicious activity at Durant School. People were in the school parking lot after hours.

May 24—Police conducted a traffic stop at Fourth Avenue and Sixth Street. Kate Duello of Kinross was stopped and charged with OWI operating while intoxicated (second offense).

May 24—Police conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 block of Third Street. A warning for a traffic violation was given.

May 24—Police responded to a speak with officer call at the Durant Police Department.

May 25—Police conducted a routine business check at Casey’s.

May 25—Police checked on subjects in an area alley.

May 26—Police conducted a traffic stop at 11th Street and 14th Avenue. A warning for a traffic violation was given.

May 26—Police conducted a traffic stop at 14th Avenue and Third Street. A warning for a traffic violation was given.

May 26—Police spoke with young boys at Fifth Street and Sixth Avenue about manner of riding bikes on Main Street.

May 26—Police performed a follow-up in the 200 block of Eighth Lane Avenue pending a nuisance violation.

May 26—Police assisted a disabled vehicle in the 500 block of Fifth Street.

May 26—Police responded to a false alarm at a business in Durant.

May 26—Police performed a follow-up in the 1300 block of Fourth Street pending a nuisance violation.

May 26—Police responded to a nuisance/abatement call in the 1100 block of Fourth Street. A warning for camper parked on street was given.

May 27—Police conducted a traffic stop at Fifth Street and Sixth Avenue. A warning for a traffic violation was given.

May 27—Police responded to a nuisance/abatement call in the 300 block of Sixth Street. A warning for mowing of lawn was given.

May 27—Police responded to a parking call in the 500 block of Seventh Street regarding a camper permit request.

May 27—Police performed a vehicle inspection at the Durant Police Department for IDOT licensing requirements.

May 28—Police responded to a speak with officer call in the 700 block of 10th Street.

May 28—Police responded to a motor vehicle accident property damage call in the 600 block of Eighth Street. Suzanne Kraklio of Durant, operating a 2013 Ford Taurus, ran into a 2020 Toyota Corolla operated by Cherie Kutcher of Durant. Accident report completed. Kraklio was cited for a stop sign violation.

May 29—Police responded to an alarm in the 500 block of 14th Avenue. It was an accidental activation of a car alarm.

May 29—Police conducted a routine walk through at Jeff’s Market.

May 29—Police conducted a follow-up in the 300 block of Sixth Street. A warning for a nuisance violation was given.

May 29—Police responded to a speak with officer call at the Durant Police Department.

May 29—Police assisted with a traffic hazard on Highway 6 near Wilton. Vehicle was able to make it to a residence in Durant.
