In the early morning hours of Nov. 21, a pedestrian was hit and killed on Highway 61 in Muscatine County.
According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, Cody Terpenning, 33, of Muscatine was hit and killed by Tamar Coey, 51, of Wapello.
The report states that a 2007 Mercury Mariner driven by Coey was traveling southbound on Highway 61 near the 3600 block of Grandview Avenue and struck a pedestrian (Terpenning) who was in the travel portion of the roadway.
The Muscatine Police Department and Muscatine Fire Department assisted at the scene.
