Obituary: Michael Beuter

Michael Alan Beuter, 64, of Tipton, Iowa, entered into eternity in the early morning hours of Wednesday, July 7, 2021, after fighting a 7-year battle with cancer. On Sunday, July 11, family hosted a visitation at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. On Monday, July 12, a funeral service was held at Fry Funeral Home, immediately followed by a graveside service at Woodbridge Cemetery in Buchanan, Iowa. Both services were officiated by David Fry.

Michael, son of Robert Francis and Darleen (Johnson) Beuter, was born on Friday, July 5, 1957 in Iowa City. He grew up on a farm and graduated with the Tipton class of 1975. After graduation, Michael farmed for a while and then worked in the trucking business for over 25 years, working for TMC and eventually his own business, MM Beuter Trucking Co. He retired in 2014.

Michael was united in marriage to Michelle (Martin) Dolan on Sept. 6, 2008, in Tipton. He enjoyed racing as a participant for over 25 years, and continued to follow dirt track racing with his favorite being to attend the Knoxville sprint car races. He loved to camp and fish. Michael also took great pride in his yard, always having straight lines in his lawn. He was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.

Michael is survived by his wife, Michelle; daughters, Alicia (Barry) Cooling of Wilton, Amanda (Chris) Koch of Tipton, Amy (Nolan) Mente of Pella, and Ashley McCormick of Mechanicsville; sister, Karen Ficken (Gregg) of Tyler, Texas; brother, Gary (Maletta) Beuter of Tipton; eight grandchildren, Evan Cooling, Clayton Cooling, Daelyn Cooling, Karter Koch, Meliah Mente, Madelyn Mente, Addison Shields and Trevin Shields; and his nieces, Katie (Drew) Brown of Tyler, Texas, Mallory (Colby) Stewart of Tyler, Texas, Heather (Mike) Schnoebelen of Riverside, Shannon (Tim) Krauss of Amana, and Brianne (James) Magill of DeWitt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Darleen; brother, Mark Beuter; father-in-law, Harry Martin; and mother-in-law, Claudette Martin.
