Maralee Dotson, 83, of Atalissa died Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from complications of heart failure at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 22 at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Burial followed in West Liberty City Cemetery. Visitation was also held at Fry’s. Maralee Joyce Williams, one of seven children, was born Feb. 17, 1938 in Cedar County. She was the daughter of Alfred C. and Laura L. (Christian) Williams. Maralee attended Tipton High School and on Nov. 13, 1954 was united in marriage to Duane Dotson in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.
Maralee is survived by her children; Becky (David) Mills of West Liberty, Iowa, Jim (Teri) Dotson of Wilton, Iowa, Sandra (Dave) Duncan of Austin, Texas, Dana (Kevin) Pfister of West Liberty, Iowa, Krista (Andy) DeRiemacker of Atalissa, Iowa and Ann Dotson (Darryll Alke) of West Liberty, Iowa; two brothers; 9 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Duane; sister, Peggy Sissel; brothers, Delb Williams and his wife, Laurel, Denny Williams and Allan Williams.
