William E. Eiselstein, 87, died on Saturday June 20, 2020 at the Simpson Home in West Liberty. Funeral services were held June 23 at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, with Diane Prichard officiating. Visitation was also held at the funeral home. Burial was in the Massillon Cemetery with military rites.
William was born Aug. 11, 1932 in rural Cedar County in a log cabin to Earl William and Ada Elizabeth Wagner Eiselstein. He married Helen DoJoode on Sept. 18, 1952. She passed away on Sept. 5, 1983. He then married Shirley Schroeder on Aug. 11, 2013. She passed away on March 20, 2020.
William served his country in the Army and he retired from J.I. Case in Bettendorf in 1987 after farming for 20 years before that.
Survivors include his son Steven (Lylie) of Wilton; daughters Melissa (Jim) LaFrenz of Wheatland and Cheryl (Marvin) Hintz of Toronto; grandchildren Steve Eiselstein Jr., Travis Eiselstein, Robert Eiselstein, Michael LaFrenz, Brianna Lafrenz, and Matthew LaFrenz; 5 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives; brother David; and son Dennis.
