Randal Rae (Pacer) Claussen, 68, died March 20, 2021 in Scottsdale, Arizona after a courageous battle with Glioblastoma.

Randy was born Aug. 12, 1952 in Iowa City, the son of Rolland and Ruth (Reedy) Claussen. He attended Wilton Community Schools, where he graduated in 1971. The day after graduation, he took a job with the Louis Rich Company in West Liberty, Iowa where he was instrumental in developing the turkey hot dog. During his career with Louis Rich, he also worked in North Carolina and California, where he resided in Modesto.

In 1989 Randy moved to Porterville, California and started Claussen Enterprises, a computer services company that was a network and wireless Internet services provider. Providing services to both business and residential customers, Randy made many friends in the Porterville community, retiring in 2019.

He enjoyed playing poker with friends, fishing during trips back to Lake of the Ozarks to visit family, gardening and canning the produce grown in his own garden, and walking around the neighborhood to exercise and visit with neighbors.

His first marriage to Karolyn Pearson gave him a daughter, Jamie. His marriage to Samboon “Tuy” Srihawong gave him a stepson, Chris.

Randy is survived and lovingly remembered by his daughter Jamie Claussen and her daughter Avery of Modesto, California, his stepson Chris (Michelle) Peterson and their children Cate and Mason of Porterville, California, his brother K.C. Claussen (Sandy Mueller) of Camdenton, Missouri, and sisters Candice (Roger) Boggs of Phoenix, Arizona and Tamara (Dave) Ingwersen of Scottsdale, Arizona, and several nieces and nephews.
