Nicklas Robert “Nick” Rostenbach, 27, of Wilton, formerly of Durant, died on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. A visitation was held Sunday, March 7, 2021 at Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. A private funeral service was held March 8. Burial will take place in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Bettendorf, Iowa. A Celebration of Life was held March 8 at the Dew Drop Inn, Durant. Nicklas was born in Davenport, Iowa on Dec. 16, 1993, the son of Jason and Judi (Brockhage) Rostenbach. He graduated from Durant High School. He later attended Scott Community College, where he earned his degree in welding. After graduation, Nick worked as a welder for Union Tank in Muscatine, and later as a locomotive operator for Harsco Metals & Minerals in Blue Grass.

Nick loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was a member of Three Rivers Delta Waterfowl in Muscatine. He enjoyed playing softball, and attending Durant Gold baseball games. Nick also enjoyed traveling around the United States with his family and friends attending NASCAR races. Most of all, Nick cherished spending time with his family and friends.

Nick will be dearly missed by his daughter, Emberlynn; his father, Jason (Angela Garvey) Rostenbach of Durant; seven siblings, Amber Mason, Katie Rostenbach, Sara Hallberg, Kelsey Sagers, Alex Sagers, Hannah Lampe, and Brennen Stewart; and his significant other, Nicole Mizer, and her family: Jason, Stacey, Austin and Brady Mizer of Wilton and Roger (Lynn) Bennett of Stockton.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Judi; maternal grandparents, Robert and Elda Brockhage; and his paternal grandparents, Bob Rostenbach and Ermadel Ludwick.
