Marjorie Elvera “Dolly” Neipert, 88, of Wilton, Iowa, died peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021 at Wilton Retirement Community. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 4 at Zion Lutheran Church, Wilton. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place in Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton.

Memorials may be given to W.R.C. Activity Fund and Zion Lutheran Eventide. Condolences may be left at www.bentleyfuneralhome.com. The family will be forever grateful to W.R.C. staff for their loving care.

Dolly was born on Feb. 13, 1933, the daughter of Walter and Vivian (Gustafson) Fischer. Dolly was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, and attended their parochial school. She graduated from Wilton High School, class of 1950. Dolly married Donald Neipert on Jan. 21, 1951 in Davenport, Iowa. Donald died on March 26, 2016.

Dolly was a librarian for the Wilton Public Library for 35 years, retiring in 2000. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Dolly and Don delivered Meals on Wheels for 30 years. She also delivered books to many shut-ins.

She will be dearly missed by the five joys in her life, her daughters, Deborah (Jack) Brenner of Wilton, Susan (Mike) Norton of Wilton, Sandra (Craig) Scott of Moscow, Patricia (Dale Westgerdes) Neipert of Kewanee, Illinois, and Pamela Donna of Hillsdale, Illinois; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one due in November; two sisters, Patricia Maule of East Moline, Illinois and Lois Ludtke of Davenport; one brother, Robert (Helen) Fischer of Nashville, Tennessee; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Ruckles of Muscatine; and her faithful friend and fellow librarian, Anita Hartley.

Dolly was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald; and one brother, Richard Fischer.
