James M. Lowry, 68, of Harrisonburg, Virginia died Aug. 7, 2020. A service will be held in Virginia on Aug. 22 and at Memorial Park Cemetery in Davenport in September.

James was born March 4, 1952 in Moline, Illinois. He grew up in Iowa and was a veteran.
He enjoyed working on old cars. His love of old cars led to customizing and upholstering them. He came to own his own shop in Wilton and then moved to Virginia, where he opened his own shop, Backstreet Custom.
He is survived by his mother Mary Lowry; his siblings Kathryn (Jim) Detlef, Linda (Sam) Balser, Diane Burrows, Theresa (Larry) Cantwell, Beverly Gerard, Mary (fiancée Dennis Brewer) Pratt, and Mark Lowry; his uncle Jack (Patty) Lowry; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father James Lowry, brother Richard Lowry and several aunts and uncles.
