Cheryl Jean Prohaska, 63, of Durant died Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021 peacefully at her home. Visitation was held Jan. 18 at Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. A funeral service was held Jan. 19 at the Durant Community Center. Burial took place at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.

Cheryl was born in Centerville, Iowa on May 21, 1957, daughter of Donald and Betty (Busetto) Clark, Sr. She graduated from Davenport Central High School with the class of 1975. She married Dave Prohaska on July 18, 1987 in St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Davenport. They have two children, Travis and Devin.
Cheryl worked for Dahl Ford for many years as a title clerk, and retired from Durant Community Schools after 20 years, on Jan. 13.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Dave; two children, Travis (Michelle) Prohaska and Devin (David) Felsing; two sisters, Vicki (Jim) Knapp, and Donna (Brinson) Kinzer; and one stepsister; Vickie (Kevin) Justice; three grandchildren, Ryker, Beckett, and Raeleigh; and four nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Donald “D.J.” Clark, Jr.; and a nephew.
