Bibiana McClanahan, 71, died in Durant on June 7, 2020. A limited visitation was held on June 9 in Davenport. Her remains will be brought to the Philippines for final resting next to other family members.

Bibiana was born on Dec. 2, 1948 in the village of Cavite in the Philippines. Her parents were Protacio, a Filipino Army medic and Bataan Death March survivor, and Praxedes, a loving mother of eight. She graduated from Cavite National High School. She arrived in the U.S. in 1984 at the age of 35 and obtained citizenship in 1992. For many years, she operated an in-home daycare and helped raise dozens of children.

Her hobbies included spending time with family, gardening, cooking, shopping and traveling.

Bibiana courageously battled cancer three times over five years without fear or complaint. A devout Christian and proud American, she is dearly loved and will be missed by many.

She is survived by her husband Bob of 35 years of marriage; sons Anthony (Carole M.D.), Luke (Kayla), and Chad (Robin); grandchildren Violet, Aubrey and Lennon; siblings Nelita (Robert), Connie, Nelda (James), Luz and Joe (Aida); along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Protacio and Praxedes; her siblings Aurea and Romy; and nephew Wilner.
