Monica Ann Rahlf, age 75, of Moscow, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at her home.  A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, April 10, at Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton.  Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation.  Online condolences may be left at www.bentleyfuneralhome.com.

Monica was born on Aug. 16, 1949, the daughter of Joseph and Juanita (Reimers) Smith in Iowa City.  She graduated from DeWitt High School with the Class of 1967. Monica married Ronald Rahlf on Feb. 12, 1972, at the Moscow Methodist Church.

Monica worked for 16 years at Louis Rich in West Liberty, retiring in 1995. Never one to sit still, she spent many years preparing meals for Marolf and Sons during their busy spring planting and fall harvest seasons. Together with her husband, Ron, Monica served as a Licensed Wildlife Rehabilitator for 12 years. Their organization, Cedar River Rehab, became a haven for injured and orphaned wildlife in the area. Monica loved visiting Branson, Mo., and could often be found with a fishing pole in hand - especially if catfish were biting. She and her husband also enjoyed trying their luck at various casinos. But above all, her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren.

Monica will be dearly missed by her husband, Ron; two children, Robert (Julee) Rahlf of Wilton and Misty (Kyle Davis) Rahlf of Stanwood; six grandchildren, Jacob (Izabella), Melania (Garrett), Abby and Taylor Rahlf, Hank and Olivia Davis; and one great-grandson, Finn Rahlf, on the way at the end of April.

Monica was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph “Tim” and Juanita “Neet” Smith; and her best friend, Peggy Knight.
