Lois "Loey" A. Henderson, 89, of Durant, died Friday, Oct. 28, 2022, while under the care of Prairie Hills Assisted Living in Tipton and Avalon Hospice.
Funeral services were held on the morning of Monday, Oct. 31, at the Bentley Funeral Home in Durant. Visitation was held one hour prior to the services. Burial took place in the Durant Cemetery.

Loey was born in Davenport, on June 19, 1933 to Roy and Florence (McKenzie) Piersall. She married Loris "Dean" Henderson on June 5, 1954 in Davenport. He preceded her in death on Jan. 4, 2018.
Loey was a member of Peace Church of Christ United in Bennett. She enjoyed crocheting, babysitting and walking around town. She worked at the former Wilton Nursing Home and provided childcare for many Durant area families.
Loey is survived and lovingly remembered by her three daughters including Lavetta "Vetta" (Danny "Pete") Meyer of Dixon, IA, Linda (Brian) Brooks of Durant and LaDeana "Deana" (Sean) Moeller of New Liberty as well as two sons, Lynn (Charlene) Henderson of Durant and LaVern "Shorty" (Julia) Henderson of Muscatine.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter Jennifer Meyer and brother Ernest Piersall.
