Joe and Marlene Kaufman, 204 Brookview Lane, Durant will celebrate their Golden Anniversary (50 years) June 26.
Joe Kaufman of rural Tama and Marlene Spillman of Albany, Missouri were married June 26, 1970 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Stanberry, Missouri.
They have lived in Durant since 1975, where they raised their family. Joe was plant manager at Pioneer for many years.
They have been active in the Durant community and at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Wilton.
Their travels have included all 50 states.
Family gatherings, their grandsons’ activities, sports and road trips in their jeep are some of their favorite activities.
Their children are Jennifer (Dr. Clayton) Schuett of Tipton, Melissa Kaufman of Davenport, and Matt Kaufman of Cedar Rapids. They have two grandsons, Nile and Xander Schuett.
