Jean M. King, age 92, of Wilton, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Wilton Retirement Community.  A funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 10, at United Methodist Church of Wilton.  A visitation was held from 10-11 a.m., prior to the service at the church.  Burial took place in Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton.  Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church of Wilton.  Online condolences may be left at www.bentleyfuneralhome.com.

Jean was born on Sept. 3, 1932, the daughter of Marvin and Lena (Vozenlek) Jeffery in Oxford Junction.  She graduated from Lowden High School with the Class of 1951, where she played on their state qualifying basketball team.  Jean married Duane King on June 24, 1951, in Lowden.  Duane passed away on Jan. 16, 2015. 

Jean was a loving homemaker and farm wife, dedicating her life to caring for her family and their home. After retirement, she enjoyed working at the Ribeye and the Wilton Cafe.  A faithful member of the United Methodist Church of Wilton, Jean was active in the quilting circle.  She enjoyed the outdoors, tending to her garden and flower beds with care. Jean also loved dancing with her husband, Duane, and they spent many happy moments together on the dance floor.  Above all, Jean’s greatest love was her family. She will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, caring smile and the love she shared with those around her.

Jean will be dearly missed by a daughter, Sandra Crosslin of Argyle, Texas; two sons, Randy King of Marion, and Jim (Kristy) King of Moscow; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-grandchild on the way; four great-great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Evelyn King; and one sister, Mary (Bob) Frey.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Duane; and one son, Dave King; a great granddaughter, Elodie Marie Elliot; and one sister, Betty Klima.
