Goals set for Durant development director

During the March 28 meeting, Durant council members discussed goals for the city’s prospective economic development director position. The position is to act as a point person for Chamber of Commerce inquiries. The director would also communicate with realtors, local partners, and homeowners with ideas on how to attract businesses, create programs for limited income and elderly residents, and education programs in order to grow the community of Durant.
