Gerri Lynn Ratzlaff, age 58. of Coralville, formerly of Wilton, passed away Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025, at Genesis East Medical Center, Davenport. Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.bentleyfuneralhome.com.
Gerri was born on Oct. 19, 1966, the daughter of Elmer and Paulette (Barkalow) Ratzlaff. She graduated from Wilton High School with the Class of 1985. Gerri was a free spirit who lived life on her own terms. Though she faced many challenges, she carried an unbreakable spirit. She never let circumstances define her and found joy in the simple things —especially a cold Mountain Dew. Gerri will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Gerri will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Paulette Salyars of Wilton; two sisters, Paula (Charlie White) Barkalow of Muscatine and Tricia Salyars of Wilton; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Geoff Salyars and William Salyars.
