Celebrated on May 29, 529 Day is a national initiative to help spread awareness about 529 plans, such as the College Savings Iowa 529 plan. “The 529 Day giveaway is a great way to help boost education savings for 100 families around the state and to help spread the word about how a College Savings Iowa account can benefit you and your future scholars,” Fitzgerald said. “I’m encouraging all Iowans to register for the giveaway before May 31 and start or boost your education savings journey.”
Since its launch in 1998, College Savings Iowa has grown to more than $5.9 billion in assets and over $3.4 billion has been used to pay for qualified education expenses.
