Debra Jean Cook, 66, of Durant, died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022 at her home.
A funeral service was held on the morning of Monday, Oct. 3, at Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. Burial will take place in Durant Cemetery. A visitation was held Sunday afternoon, Oct. 2, at Bentley Funeral Home, Durant.

Debra was born in Davenport, on Nov. 30, 1955, the daughter of Willard and Dana (Martin) Bland. She graduated from Davenport West High School with the Class of 1974.
Deb married Douglas H. Cook on Feb. 18, 1978 in Durant. Doug died on May 30, 2019 at his home.
Deb was a cook at the 5th Avenue Creamery in Durant for many years. Most recently, Deb worked in the cafeteria for Wilton Community Schools. Deb was a member of Grace United Church of Christ in Wilton. She enjoyed listening to music and spending time with her family, friends and her two dogs, Oliver and Bailey.
Deb will be lovingly remembered by her two children, Erin (Craig) Stansfield of Durant and Matt (Alexis) Cook of Muscatine as well as three grandchildren, Tyler, Grace and Brynn, along with her parents, Willard and Dana Bland of Urbandale, Iowa. Also surviving is one sister, Wendy (Kyle) Henderson of Cedar Falls, and one sister in-law, Cathy Bland of Des Moines.
Deb was preceded in death by her husband, Doug, as well as one brother, Brad Bland.
