The Cedar County Veterans Affairs office, located in the Cedar County Courthouse in Tipton, will be open on Saturday, October 24 from 8 a.m. until noon.
The Veterans Affairs Commission is actively looking for outreach opportunities to meet with the veterans of Cedar County. The commission is made up of five veterans from throughout the county, representing different war times and branches of service. Due to the current situation with COVID-19, outreach plans have been altered. In the past years, the office has had events at the courthouse regarding benefits, the Vietnam commemorative event and participated in the Freedom Rock dedication.
Starting soon, the office will be coordinating with all the local service organizations to attend their monthly meeting and give updates regarding benefits.
Please note: The southeast door is the only door open to the courthouse. This is the handicapped entrance on the back side of the courthouse.
