Cedar County Disaster Food Assistance Program

Disaster Food Assistance Program is available to residents of Cedar County who had damage from the storms from Aug. 10 through Sept. 8, and were not eligible for regular food assistance during the disaster time period. Applicants will need to meet income guidelines.

Anyone interested should bring identification. A quick overview of eligibility — net income received during the time of Aug. 10 through Sept. 8, plus all non-reimbursable disaster related expenses that a family may have had during that time period. Some of these expenses can include: loss of food, tree removal, hotel expense, generator, chain saws, etc.

Assistance is available Tuesday, Sept. 22 through Saturday, Sept. 26 for Cedar County residents affected by the storm. Hours of operation will be 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day Tuesday through Saturday.

This event will be held at: Cedar County Fair Grounds, Mathews Building, Tipton.
