Beverly A. Reed, age 81, of Tipton, passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Cremation rites have been accorded, and no services will be held at this time. Burial will take place at a later date in Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton. Beverly was born on March 25, 1943, the daughter of Eric and Ramona (Smith) Bicknese. She graduated from Wilton High School. Beverly married the love of her life, Edward Reed, on Oct. 29, 1960, in Wilton.
Beverly worked as a floral designer at Garrison’s Garden Market in Wilton for many years. Her green thumb extended to her own flower beds and houseplants, which she cared for with great dedication and love. A devoted wife, Beverly faithfully and lovingly cared for her husband, Edward, creating a home filled with love and warmth. Known for her exceptional cooking, Beverly had a particular fondness for baking with blueberries, creating many delicious desserts.
Beverly enjoyed watching the Iowa Hawkeye girls’ basketball team and cherished her annual family fishing trips to Minnesota, where she made lasting memories with her family. She also enjoyed going to Las Vegas and visiting casinos with her husband, Edward. Above all, Beverly loved her family. Her greatest joy came from spending time with them, and her unwavering devotion and love will remain in their hearts forever.
Beverly will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Edward; two sons, Brian (Judy) Reed and Brad (Tracy) Reed; one granddaughter, Tori (Blake) Garrett; one sister, Karen Garrison; one brother, Jerry Bicknese; and three nieces, Trista (David) Hopper, Jennifer (Luke) Seibert, and Ann Bicknese.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Larry Bicknese; one brother-in-law, Richard Garrison; and a nephew, Jeff Garrison.
