The Battle of the Books district trophy has been taken by Durant Elementary School following a championship win by the Bookish Best Friends – consisting of sixth graders Piper Hermiston, Anna Harland, and Layton Richman. This is the second time the Bookish Best Friends have competed in the Battle of the Books district championship.
