The Wilton Fire Department, in conjunction with the Iowa Interstate Railroad, held steam engine train rides all day Sunday, Aug. 22. Rides were scheduled at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., noon and 1:30 p.m. The steam engine train (pictured above) left from the historic Wilton Depot, where passengers got on and off, each time. The train then traveled east toward Walcott before being towed back for the next excursion. The fire department sold 1,400 tickets for the event.
