The fourth annual Comet Classic Marching Band Competition will take place on Saturday, Oct. 11, from noon to 5 p.m. West Liberty High School will be hosting 10 visiting bands from across Iowa, with a performance from the West Liberty Marching Band capping off the evening.

This month, Eulenspigel Puppet Theatre in West Liberty will host a celebration drawing inspiration from Halloween stories and Day of the Dead imagery. Eulenspiegel will produce this as a community show, with local residents invited to participate in writing, building puppets, creating a soundscape, and performing.
