Kids and more than a few grown-ups race across Sheridan Meadows Park in Eldridge to greet the Oscar Mayer's Wienermobile, making a lunch time stop.
Lions Club members along with lots of City of Eldridge staff served a hot dog lunch for at least 100 on hand for the vehicle's arrival at about 12:45 p.m.
Kids lined up for wiener whistles and photos alongside the wienermobile. Oscar Mayer's 84-year-old marketing innovation created the same thrill kids experienced when it debuted in 1936.
