Wayne Meyer turns 90

Wayne Meyer of Eldridge is celebrating his 90th birthday on June 22 with a family dinner.

Wayne grew up on a farm on Buttermilk Road and has lived in Eldridge most of his life. He retired as a painter from John Deere Plow & Planter Works, Moline, in January of 1993.

Helping him celebrate will be his wife, Carol; sons Chris (Brenda) of Eldridge, and Randal of Cedar Falls; grandchildren Brandon (Kim) of Eldridge, Jarod (Robin) of West Des Moines, Brett (Krystle) of Huntingdon, Tenn.; and five great-grandchildren. He also has four stepsons, Jeff (Debbie) of Rowlett, Texas, Tim (Michele) of Fort Worth, Texas, Jon (Jenny) of Colleyville, Texas, and Greg (Kara) Ramirez of Whitefish Bay, Wis.; 10 step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
