The National Weather Service in Davenport warns of strong to severe storms area possible through Thursday.
"Through Thursday early morning, best chances to see severe weather will be along the Highway 30 corridor and to the north. Numerous storms are possible with hail, damaging winds, tornadoes.
"Given another very moist environment, flash flooding cannot be ruled out. While it has been dry in our north, very solid/dry grounds will inhibit rapid infiltration, which can lead to quick runoff.
"Thursday afternoon, severe thunderstorms are possible along and south of I-80. Damaging winds, large hail, tornadoes and flash flooding are possible. More uncertainty exists with Thursday’s storms.
"Storms this morning through the early afternoon will be key indicators of what happens this evening."
