Sue Ann Bader turned 90 years young on Jan. 11.
Sue was born in LeClaire in 1932 to Berniel and Arthur Elmegreen. Her first job was with Motor Club of Iowa. She met and married her high school sweetheart, James Bader, on Aug. 12, 1949, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. They had five sons, Gary, Rick, Mark, Jay and Lance. Sue and Jim started Bader Trucking milk hauling in 1953, where Sue also received hauler and sampler training. They went on to establish Bader Farms, a successful racehorse breeding and training farm.
Sue enjoys spending time with her family, including 13 grandkids and 26 great-grandchildren.
