Skadals to celebrate 50 years of marriage June 14

Jim and LaVonne Skadal of Eldridge will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a card shower and a drive-by parade on Sunday, June 14. The parade will begin at 3 p.m., driving past the residence at 1136 W. Lincoln Road in Eldridge (corner of Buttermilk and Lincoln). All friends and relatives are invited to participate.

Naomi LaVonne Hudson and Jim Skadal were married June 14, 1970, at the First Assembly of God Church in Fort Dodge.

Mr. Skadal is retired from the U.S. Air Force/Army, and worked at the Rock Island Arsenal as a civilian.

Mrs. Skadal is a retired medical secretary and also worked for the North Scott School District as an aide and secretary.

They are the parents of Michelle (Victor) Skadal-Sosnowski of Eldridge, Wendy (Tomas) Salas of Indiana, and Jimmy (Stephanie) Skadal of Donahue.

Their grandchildren are Tanner Kossik, Elijah Salas, Isaac Salas, Gabriel Salas, Tomas Salas, Sophia Salas, Chloe Sosnowski, Allana Sosnowski, Elena Skadal, Mason Skadal, and Mila Skadal.
