A funeral service for Walter LaVerne Witt, 87, of DeWitt, was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at the Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. Visitation was Monday from 9-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial was in Rock Island National Cemetery.
Mr. Witt died Tuesday, Nov, 17, 2020, at Iowa Masonic Health Facilities, Bettendorf.
Walter Witt was born March 29, 1933, in Trego, Wis., the son of Herman and Mary (Russell) Witt.
Survivors include a nephew, Kevin (Penny) Horton, DeWitt; and other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
