Memorial services for Susan Kay Alpen, 73, of Eldridge, will be on Feb. 22 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Davenport. Family will greet friends at 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. with a service to follow afterwards.
Susan Kay Alpen passed away on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2025, at MercyOne, Genesis Medical Center – East Campus, Davenport.
Susan Jehle was born on July 16, 1951, in Iowa City, the daughter of Earl Robert “Bob” and Donna (Phillips) Jehle. She was married to Ronald Alpen for many years before they divorced. She spent the last 10 years with her significant other, Terry Boydstun. She worked as an office manager for Ron Alpen Ford and then as a supervisor at Genesis, retiring in 2023.
Susan was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Davenport. She enjoyed watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, Indiana Fever basketball, spending time with her grandchildren, going to cattle shows and state fairs.
Survivors include her daughter, Nicole (Brad) Ward of Eldridge, grandchildren, Payton, Lexi, Parker, her grandpuppy Louie, her significant other, Terry Boydstun of Eldridge, and brothers Steve (Janis) Jehle of Ceder Falls, Scott (Darcie) Jehle of Durant. She is also survived by three nieces and one nephew and five great-nieces and one great-nephew.
She was proceeded in death by her parents.
