A funeral service for Rondo Ray Baetke, 84, of Eldridge, was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Bettendorf. Private family graveside services were in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation was Friday, Feb. 4, from 5-7 p.m. at Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge, with additional visitation one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
Mr. Baetke died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022, at his home.
Rondo Baetke was born Jan. 10, 1938, in Davenport, the son of Raymond and Gladys (Zabel) Baetke.
He married Diana Kruckenberg on Oct. 2, 1965, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Davenport.
Survivors include his wife; his sons, Rod (Natalie) Baetke, Plano, Texas, and Ryan Baetke and Rex (Debbie) Baetke, all of Eldridge; seven grandchildren; a great-grandson; his sisters, Karen (Vern) Crosby, Davenport, and Cindy Baetke, Hermitage, Tenn.; and a brother, Marlo Baetke, Bettendorf.
Memorials may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church of Bettendorf or to Grace Lutheran Church of DeWitt.
