A private family memorial service was held for Roger M. “Rusty” Gabel, 77, of Reynolds, Ill. Visitation was Monday, Aug. 10, from 2-4 p.m. at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport.
Mr. Gabel died Monday, Aug. 3, 2020.
Roger Gabel was born May 9, 1943, in Shakopee, Minn., the son of Martin and Lena (Werlinger) Gabel.
He married Beatrice Stone in 1964; they later divorced. He then married Fran Childers.
Survivors include his wife, Fran; his children, Mary Gabel, Davenport, Brenda Gabel (Kevin Pingel), Bettendorf, Rusty Gabel (Melissa Hill), Davenport, Michele (Rick) Percy, Moline, and Jason Gabel, Bettendorf; 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Jan Mosset, Des Moines, Mary Dirk, Dottie Simes, Lorraine (Jeff) Kohler and Jim Gabel, all of Bismarck, N.D., Irene McCoy, Memphis, Mo., Donna (Doug) Janelli, Jacksonville Beach, Fla., and Randy Gabel, Williston, N.D.
