A memorial service celebrating the life of Robert D. “Bob” Willits will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 21, at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Robert Willits was born Sept. 19, 1941, in Muscatine, the son of Claire and Verna Lucille (Boiler) Willits.
He married Cheryl S. Thornbloom on March 1, 1997, in Davenport.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl; daughters, Bobbi Jo (Jonathan) Smith, Bettendorf, Beth (Mark) Kimball, Aledo, Ill., Cayleah (fiancé Josh) Willits, Bettendorf, and Cheri (Jon) Claus, Davenport; sons, David Willits and Mark Willits, both of Bettendorf, and Rick Willits, LeClaire; 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Jim (Jan) Willits of Ohio, and Larry (Kathy) Willits of Florida.
Memorials may be made to the Bettendorf Lions Club.
