A funeral service for Richard L. (Peck) Ross, 84, of Davenport, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 17 (today), in the Runge Mortuary Chapel, Davenport. Visitation was Tuesday, June 16, from 5-8 p.m. at the mortuary.
Mr. Ross died Saturday, June 13, 2020.
Richard Ross was born March 24, 1936, in Des Moines, the son of Howard and Margaret (Nauman) Ross. He attended Des Moines schools.
He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1955 and served for three years.
He married Marie Mrozek. He later married Sandra Peters.
He was employed by R&R Welding Supply of Des Moines, transferring to their Rock Island office in 1963. In 1974, he opened Ross Medical Supply in Moline. He retired in 2010.
His hobbies were camping and traveling.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy; his daughters, Elise (Steve) Rusk, Blue Springs, Mo., and Tammy (Scott) Roehlk, Davenport; his sons, Terry, Des Moines, and Jim, Davenport; seven grandchildren, Micheal, Ronnie, Michael, Hunter, Paige, Cole, and Amanda; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Micheal, Des Moines.
He was preceded in death by a brother, David.
Memorials may be made to the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Sacred Heart Cathedral of Davenport, or Christ Family Church of Davenport.
