Michael Paul Dettlaff, 61, died Thursday, April 9, 2020, at his home. Due to current restrictions, a public celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The Runge Mortuary, Davenport, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Michael Dettlaff was born May 16, 1958, the son of Ernst and Gertrude (Stoffers) Dettlaff.
He married Barbara Murphy on May 23, 1981.
He retired from Montgomery KONE.
His hobbies were traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife; his daughters, Katie (Kevin) Rokusek and Kim (Rob) Munn; his grandchildren, Sam and Maicey Munn and Kaitlyn and Kamdyn Rokusek; and his siblings, John (Pat) Dettlaff, Sue Schoo, and Judy Koehler.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Don Schoo.
Memorials may be made to Project Purple (pancreatic cancer research) or the Ohl Strong Pancreatic Cancer Support and Awareness Foundation.
