Memorial services for Marianne Meyer, 84, of Eldridge, will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, at Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge. Family will greet friends on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will take place at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, at a later date.
Marianne passed away on Monday, Nov. 21, 2022, at her home in Eldridge, surrounded by family.
Marianne Cohen was born on May 25, 1938, Los Angeles, Calif. Her parents were Abe and Vileta (Gould) Cohen. She married William Anthony Meyer Jr. on Dec. 24, 1964, at St Paul Lutheran Church, Davenport. She worked as a secretary for various companies in the Quad Cities including Douglas Industries, Eldridge. She enjoyed quilting, playing cards and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, William of Eldridge; daughter, Susan (Wendy Durant) Meyer of Iowa City; son, Joe (Alyssa) Meyer of Seminole, Fla.; grandchildren, Hannah Meyer of Seminole, Gabriel Chenoweth of Milwaukee, Wis.; and a brother, Michael Cohen of Clearwater, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Genesis Hospice.
