A funeral service for LeRoy F. Stoltenberg, 80, of Davenport and Brownsville, Texas, was held at noon on Monday, May 12, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Davenport. Visitation was two hours prior to the service on Monday at the church. Per his wishes, his ashes will be spread on the Island of Moloka’i, Hawaii. Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport, assisted the family with arrangements.
Mr. Stoltenberg died Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.
LeRoy Stoltenberg was born March 31, 1945, in Davenport, the son of Fritz and Viola Stoltenberg.
He married Alice Nelson on June 7, 1964, at St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife; his children, Scott (Amy) Stoltenberg and Steve Stoltenberg; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Barb Schreiber and Patricia (Darwin) Cannegieter.
