A private family funeral service for LaVerne W. Schwarz, 96, of Long Grove, formerly of Rock Island, was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, at the Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Visitation was 30 minutes prior to the service on Tuesday at the mortuary. Burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Schwarz died Friday, Nov. 13, 2020, at the Kahl Home, Davenport.
LaVerne Schwarz was born Oct. 14, 1924, in Scott County, the son of William and Edna Mary (Olson) Schwarz.
He married Kathleen Senger in December of 1952 in Davenport.
Survivors include his daughters, Susan Oxley, Rock Island, and Debra Lobach of California; two grandchildren; a sister, Darlene (Ken) Litterer, Maquoketa; and a brother, Dale (Judy) Schwarz, Long Grove.
Memorials may be made to the Kahl Home or to Genesis Hospice.
