A funeral service for Judith Ann “Judy” Hoag, 54, of DeWitt, was held Monday, Aug. 1, at Chambers Funeral Home, Eldridge. Burial was in Mt. Joy Cemetery, Park View.
Mrs. Hoag died Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at her home.
Judith Cornmesser was born Oct. 27, 1967, in Elgin, Ill., the daughter of Roger and Joyce (Hess) Cornmesser.
She married Jeff Peer on Oct. 3, 1986. She later married Scott Charles Hoag on Feb. 11, 2017, in Wapello.
Survivors include her husband, Scott; a daughter, Samantha Peer (fiancé Josh Bishop); a son, Wesley (Sara) Peer, Fort Madison; a grandson and Josh’s two children; her stepchildren, Karisa Hoag, Washington, Ill., Kayla Hoag, DeWitt, and Noah Hoag, Ames; a sister, Joy (Jeff) Whitmer, Eldridge; and a brother, Steven (Bonnie) Cornmesser, Eldridge; and her parents-in-law, Jack and Betty Hoag, Long Grove.
