Herbert J. Roehs Jr., 85, of Walcott, passed away on Oct. 19, 2024. Graveside services are planned for Friday, Oct. 25, at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Folks are being asked to meet at the Runge Mortuary at 9:30 a.m. to join the funeral procession to the cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Walcott Fire Department in Herbie’s name. Herbie was born on July 11, 1939, in Walcott to Herbert Sr. and Louise Roehs. He retired in 2018 from Cenpeco Lubricants after 55 years of service. Herbie considered his coworkers to be family. He enjoyed dirt track and NASCAR racing. Throughout his life he attended many NASCAR races with friends.
Herbie was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Mike Roehs and Delmar Roehs; sisters-in-law, Roma and Lorraine (Babe).
