David W. Amhof, 65, of Long Grove, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Genesis East/Mercy One Hospital in Davenport. Visitation for him will be Saturday, April 19, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Park View Lutheran Church. A memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. His final resting place will be later in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may go to the church.
Dave was born in Davenport on Oct. 6, 1959. He was the loving son of Ronald and Bonnie (Maxwell) Amhof. He graduated from North Scott High School and went on to receive his bachelor of arts degree from St. Ambrose University.
David was united in marriage to Natalie G. Vickrey on Sept. 10, 1994. She preceded him in death on July 1, 2022.
He worked as a project manager for RSM McGladery for 15 years, retiring in 2018. In earlier years, Dave enjoyed fishing, boating and even went skydiving on his 50th birthday. He loved going out to eat and writing Google reviews, watching horror movies, golfing and all things Disney! He was an active member of Park View Lutheran Church and belonged to the QC Bonsai Club.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Faith (Jesus) Fuentes, Long Grove, Amanda Amhof, Phoenix, Ariz.; his parents, Ronald and Bonnie, Eldridge, brother, Doug Amhof, Eldridge, sister-in-law, Roxanne Amhof, Fort Dodge, many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Brandy. His grandparents and brother Duane preceded him in death.
