Darlene Jean Arp, 86, of Davenport, passed away Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14, in Walcott Cemetery. Darlene was born Jan. 7, 1935, to Josef and Elsie (Stein) Pietzonka. On Sept. 5, 1954, she was united in marriage to Leslie E. Arp. They enjoyed 35 years of marriage until his passing in 1990. Darlene worked in food service for the Davenport school district for 25 years, volunteered at CASI, and St. Matthew Lutheran Church after retirement.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Kim Arp; daughters, Josie (Tim) Wallace and Trudy (Paul) Starr; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Joann Kay.
She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband; and her children, Beverly and Brian.
