Dale E. Worden, 80, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2019, at Clarissa Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. Dale went peacefully thanks to their good care.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Edwin and Paul.

Survivors include his sisters, Florence and Joyce.

After graduating high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. While serving in the Navy, me married Margaret Mueller on Sept. 11, 1960. They have been together for 59 years.

Their three children are Autumn (Robin Reiling), Robin (Bill Harris), and Jacob (Kathy Flammang). They have five granddaughters and one grandson. There are nine great-grandchildren, five girls and four boys.

While in the Navy, Dale learned the patternmaker’s trade. After he was honorably discharged, he knew he would continue the building work that satisfied him. He worked at several pattern shops in the Quad-City area.

Later, after several years and attempts, Dale founded a pattern shop on the edge of Walcott on Highway 6. He sold the shop when a stroke prevented him from continuing to do business.

Dale enjoyed fishing, hunting, travel, and drinking beer. He loved spending time with family, his children, and the grandchildren and their families.

Dale and Margaret for several years farmed and raised livestock in New Liberty.

Per his wishes, the rite of cremation and a private family celebration of life will be held.
