Darlene Ann Bohnsack, 83, of Wilton, Iowa, died Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at UnityPoint Health Trinity Rock Island. Visitation was held April 24 at Bentley Funeral Home in Wilton. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery, Muscatine.

Darlene was born in Muscatine, Iowa on April 13, 1938, the daughter of John and Edith (Holliday) Baer. She graduated from Wilton High School with the class of 1956. She married Melvin Bohnsack on May 3, 1958 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Wilton.
Darlene was a homemaker, who treasured taking care of her family. She was also an Avon representative for more than 40 years. Darlene was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Wilton and St. Mathias Catholic Church in Muscatine. She collected antiques, dolls and toys. She also enjoyed sewing and tending to her African violets and orchids.
Darlene will be dearly missed by her husband, Melvin Bohnsack; five children, Linda (Todd) Duncan of Wilton, Kevin (Julie) Bohnsack of Wilton, Debbie (Tad) Yetter of Havana, Illinois, Don Bohnsack of Wilton, and Pam (Jeff) Gabby of Urbandale, Iowa; 17 grandchildren, Nicole and Collins Duncan, Andrea (Brandon Gradert) Bohnsack, Taelor (Christine) Bohnsack, Joshua, Kaleb and Eden Yetter, Ryan Bohnsack, Lucas (Kenzie) Bohnsack and Brad (Rachel) Bohnsack, Jillian, Lauren, Rachel and Jackson Gabby; Andrew Bohnsack, Maddi (Derek Hirt) Bohnsack and Garrett Bohnsack; two great-grandchildren, Tripp and Neala; and one sister-in-law, Jude.
She was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Bohnsack; and one brother, Robert Baer.
