The North Scott Service Club is hosting a 'reverse powderpuff' volleyball event next Tuesday as part of a fundraiser to benefit the Student Hunger Drive.
Over two dozen Lancer football players are set to compete in The Pit on Oct. 14 with matches beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The event is North Scott's primary fundraiser for the Student Hunger Drive, an organization led by high school service clubs with the goal of minimizing food insecurity in their communities.
Student Hunger Drive is a district wide fundraiser which is in its 39th year. 16 Quad-Cities area high schools are participating.
To help support this cause, attendees are asked to bring canned goods or shelf-stable food. Monetary donations will also be accepted.
On the court, Lancer football players will be divided into teams and will play three matches throughout the night.
All teams will be coached by current North Scott volleyball seniors.
